to the Utah area also known as Dinosaurland! Dinosaurland is
Northeastern Utah. It’s flaming Gorge country and the largest Jurassic
Dinosaur quarry in the world. It's Dinosaur National Monument,
scenic-byways, parks, wilderness areas, heritage trails, petro glyphs,
and just plain old family fun and adventure. World-class fishing, river

Flaming
Gorge reservoir is the most popular attraction here. It is a huge
reservoir providing outstanding opportunity for boating, fishing,
skiing, jet skiing, house boating, and other water sports.

The reservoir surface water is cool even during the heat of the summer.
This means that the reservoir provides excellent habitat for trout, and
it is invigoratingly cool for water skiers.
This
area is famous for it's trophy lake trout. A good number of 30 pound
fish are caught each year! The Utah record went 51 lbs. 8 oz., and
there may yet be a bigger one swimming in the reservoir.
Fishing is
also very good for rainbows, brown trout, Kokanee salmon, and
smallmouth bass.
Besides
Vernal having great mountains, rivers, and lakes we also host the
infamous Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo. This is one of the largest
professional outdoor rodeos in the nation. We have activities for
everyone to enjoy – young and old.
Another
area attraction we have here is the Red Fleet. Red Fleet is located in
the heart of Dinosaurland.
There are 3 large Navajo sandstone outcrops
jetting up from the landscape as if a fleet of ships. There you can
swim, camp, picnic, fish, kayak, Jet Ski, and hike a trail to see
dinosaur foot prints. Red Fleet is just 10 miles north of Vernal.
