This means that the reservoir provides excellent habitat for trout, and it is invigoratingly cool for water skiers. This area is famous for it's trophy lake trout. A good number of 30 pound fish are caught each year! The Utah record went 51 lbs. 8 oz., and there may yet be a bigger one swimming in the reservoir.

Fishing is also very good for rainbows, brown trout, Kokanee salmon, and smallmouth bass. Besides Vernal having great mountains, rivers, and lakes we also host the infamous Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo. This is one of the largest professional outdoor rodeos in the nation. We have activities for everyone to enjoy – young and old. Another area attraction we have here is the Red Fleet. Red Fleet is located in the heart of Dinosaurland.

There are 3 large Navajo sandstone outcrops jetting up from the landscape as if a fleet of ships. There you can swim, camp, picnic, fish, kayak, Jet Ski, and hike a trail to see dinosaur foot prints. Class B and C road funds are the most consistent revenue because of the distribution
formula as defined by Utah Code. As North Ogden City’s population increases, the
funds from Class B and C road funds will also increase. Class B and C road funding is
based on an average allotment of state B and C road funds to North Ogden City over
the last six years. The general fund amount is based on the average North Ogden
general fund expenditures on transportation projects over the last six years.
