North Ogden City Lou Waikert has been appointed the Director of North Ogden City’s Emergency Preparedness/CERT and has formed a council to assist him with these functions.  This council will meet on the third Thursday of each month at the North View Fire Station at 630p.  Anyone interested in learning more about Emergency Preparedness/CERT is welcome to attend.

From time to time we all have solicitors come to our North Ogden homes
attempting to sell goods and services. Please be advised for
your own protection and peace of mind that each solicitor
must be licensed with the city before they can legally solicit
door to door.

North Ogden City requires each solicitor to carry
a 4” x 6”, bright neon green badge which includes
their name, the company name and a recent
photo at all times while soliciting.
The badge is issued after the required application, including
background check, has been completed and reviewed and it is
determined that the City’s requirements have been met.

HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL –
You may deposit any hazardous materials: Toxic chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, cleaners, solvents,
poisons, antifreeze, pool chemicals, drain cleaners, hobby chemicals, auto degreasers, gasoline,
transmission fluid, anti-freeze (up to 5 gallons per day), tires (up to 5 per day) and any unknown
chemicals at the Weber County Transfer Station located at 867 W. Wilson Lane, on the 3rd Saturday of
each month from April through September.  Hours are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  There is no cost for this
service.  For more information you may call 399-8358.

GREEN WASTE FACILITY – The facility located at 2700 N and Mountain Rd. is now open.

Hours of operation are: Mondays and Wednesdays 3 pm -6 pm
   Saturdays 9 am-noon 
   Closed Oct. 17-25 and on all government holidays.

Residents can purchase Green Waste punch passes for $10.00 at the City Offices during regular
business hours; 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Mon. thru Fri., closed holidays.  Passes are good for five punches
and will be punched once each day you visit the facility.  Multiple trips are permitted on a single day.
Accepted Materials:
Woody Materials: vines, bushes, twigs, limbs, fitzers and logs up to 12" in diameter.  Stumps are not accepted.

Compost Materials: soft (non-woody), vegetative material not in bags (i.e. grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, sawdust and shavings, weeds, farm animal manure).

Fill Materials: soil, rock, sod, brick, block, asphalt and concrete (prior approval needed). 
Materials not specifically listed above will not be accepted.
The woody tree material will be chipped or ground.  Both the wood chips and aged compost materials will be available, free of charge, to North Ogden City residents while supplies last.  You may pick those items up during the facility’s hours of operation.

This program is operated entirely by volunteer residents of North Ogden.  We thank the volunteers from last season and encourage you to be a volunteer this season.  Without volunteers the facility doesn’t operate.
