Weber County Utah Real Estate has a very interesting past. Weber County is named after John Weber who made is way here from Europe after a short stop in St. Louis. John Weber was a brave trapper. He came into the Weber River area when there were very few Utah Homes and Utah Real Estate developed. In 1824 John Weber and some of his fellow trapping buddies came into the Weber County area, since John was the leader of the group they named the larger of the rivers in the area after him. Today the "Weber River" runs through Morgan County Utah, Weber County, and makes it way out to the Great Salt Lake. When John Weber came to this area he set up his camp at Fort Buenaventura along the Weber river to the West Side of Ogden.
Ogden City and Weber County Real Estate began to be developed and settled in the 1860's and the Wasatch Front grew from a small trapping community to a booming railroad city due to the railroad. Farming and trapping were the primary occupations at the time but then the rail road brought a whole new change to the Utah Real Estate landscape in Ogden Utah and Weber County. The area grew quickly once people reached Utah and found the beauty of Weber County and Ogden City. New homes were built in the center of the city where business was booming from the Utah travel and railroad operations. It seems that many who arrived here had never seen anything so beautiful. Weber County was largely promoted by the use of pictures in the early days. The Utah travel masters wanted to show that they had been to Ogden Utah.
Ogden City Real Estate was taking shape. The farmers that lived in town farmed and worked crops outside of the city in North Ogden, Pleasant View and Plain City. Some of the farmers worked in Farr West, Brigham City and Morgan. Farming Utah Real Estate was a very demanding way of life. The land in Utah is rocky and had a lot of brush of all sorts on the Utah Land. It seems that even despite all of the set backs people living in the area were still willing to live in Utah and call Utah home.
Utah Real Estate was becoming sought after and with those coming to see the land here in Utah come those that sought to profit from other means. Ogden Utah had a verdy colorful past street cars sailed through Ogden Utah on the east side of town. Washington Boulevard was then and is today the major road through Ogden. Once a two lane road, Washington Boulevard now is home to a 7 lanes in some places. In the early 1900's Ogden City had a park called Lorin Farr park where you could have a carnival ride or boat ride on the Ogden river or a little fun in the shady lane area.
Ogden Valley sits just above the town of Ogden where homes were scarce at the time. The Ogden valley was a nice wagon ride up into the mountains where you could find Real Estate around you about 10 degrees cooler then in Ogden City. The school system in Ogden City was developing quickly.
